30.01.2012

Hurriyet - The final go ahead has been given in the Cukurova Regional Airport project in southern Turkey, the second airport to be built by the private sector in the country. Planned to serve Adana and Mersin provinces, as well as the agriculturally productive Cukurova region, the airport will be able to handle 30 million passengers per year.

Sky Line and Zonguldak Private Aviation Consortium will invest EUR 357 million to build the project, put out to tender by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority of Turkey. The contract grants the airport’s operating rights to the builders for 9 years and 10 months.
