Turkey's Vakifbank gets USD 720 million syndicated loan
Zaman - Having no difficulty in finding loans in the international finance markets, Turkish banks renew their syndications one after another. Recently, Vakifbank has signed a syndication loan of USD 720 million. The loan was constituted with the participation of 31 banks from 14 countries under the coordination of WestLB AG with a sum of USD 145 million and EUR 453 million. Delivering a speech in the signing ceremony, General Manager Suleyman Kalkan said, “We are pleased to have successfully carried out the second syndication operation of the year. Costing USD 720 million, this operation affirms the reputation of Vakifbank and Turkey in the international arena.” Calling attention to the fact that the appeal of Turkey has increased, Kalkan said Vakifbank will keep supporting Turkey’s real sector with foreign resources.
