Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI) is the 6th largest bottler in The Coca-Cola System in terms of sales volume. CCI’s core business is producing, selling and distributing sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC). CCI employs more than 10,000 people and has operations in Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Jordan, Iraq and Syria, as well as exports to Tajikistan.
CCI has a total of 22 plants and offers a wide range of beverages to a consumer base of approximately 360 million people. In addition to sparkling beverages, the product portfolio includes juices, water, sports and energy drinks, tea and iced teas. CCI operates in growth markets that are generally characterized by low per capita consumption, growing GDP and very promising demographics.
Following the acquisition of Efes Invest in late 2005, CCI evolved from a bottling operation active only in Turkey to a regional beverage company. While rapidly expanding its geographic reach and investments, CCI also registered uninterrupted volume growth during this period. The successful results, in line with 2020 vision of the CCI, are directly connected to the importance attached to operational excellence, business leadership and sustainability, as well as to the investments made so far.
CCI's unique Route-to-Market model, developed over the years in Turkey, is successful in driving revenue, volume, profit and market share. Gradually transferring this model to its international operations, CCI continues to implement it in its newly penetrated territories.
In May 2006, CCI successfully completed the IPO of CCI on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE). CCI was delighted with both the response to its business model and the show of confidence from domestic and international investors, which led to the IPO being oversubscribed eleven fold.
Today, CCI operates in ten different countries and leads the region with its sustainable business model. CCI is committed to productivity, innovation and continuous improvement at each stage of its business. Being the first company that published the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report certified by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in 2007 in Turkey, CCI transparently and comprehensively discloses its social, environmental and economic impacts. Continuously increasing its reporting level in the field of sustainability each year, CCI was the first company to publish a “GRI B” level CSR report in Turkey in 2010, and the second company to publish a “GRI A+” level CSR report in Turkey in 2011.
Coca-Cola Icecek, with a total annual turnover of TRY 3.408 billion and a total sales volume of 761 million unit boxes in 2011, is determined to continue adding zest to life by offering products that appeal to its hundreds of millions of consumers.
