Zaman - Japanese car maker Honda has begun the production of the new Civic Sedan in its Sekerpinar plant in Turkey’s northwestern province of Kocaeli. The new model will take to the road in the first month of the new year.
Brandishing a new look, as well as new technologies under the hood, the new Civic Sedan is expected to outdo its predecessor in popularity. Sedans have been strong sellers in Turkey as Turkish car buyers overwhelmingly prefer 4-door family cars. The only car produced in Honda’s Turkish factory, the new model will also be exported to European markets.
Honda aims to sell 15,000 cars in the Turkish market this year and to raise the number to 20,000 in 2012.
