Zaman - Having closed last year with a record level of 760,000 sales, Turkish car market braces itself for another record for the first month of 2011. The monthly vehicle sale for January is expected to reach 40,000 and sector experts consider the sale of one million vehicles in 2011 as “possible”.
According to global marketing firm J.D. Power, last year the car sales in Turkey increased by 37 percent, while the global average was 13 percent. Judging by 2010 data, Turkey is the 7th largest car market in Europe, and the 2nd in light commercial vehicles.
