South America’s largest company chooses Turkey

Referans - Falabella Holding, largest company in the entire South American continent, has chosen Turkey for the procurement of furniture, construction material and structural elements. Taking part in the “Turkey – World Trade Bridge” summit organized by the Confederation of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON), Falabella picked Turkey over China for a new supplier country. Company officials will soon begin visiting ten factories in Gaziantep and Kayseri, in particular carpet manufacturers Istikbal and Royal Hali. Rodolfo Kamke, Export Director of Falabella’s subsidiary Sodimac said the Turkish products are eye-catching with their design. Sodimac exports products worth a billion dollars annually and reached USD 5.8 billion in sales last year. Praising the quality and design features of the Turkish products, Rodolfo Kamke noted the highly developed furniture, carpet making and home textile industries in the country and compared Turkey to China for production, stating clearly that Turkey offered a variety of unique options.
