Citroen eager to increase market share in Turkey

Today’s Zaman- The general manager of Baylas Automotive, the Turkish distributor of Citroen cars, has stated that the company's share in the Turkish market is too small and that Baylas plans to increase its share by enhancing its competitive edge. Baylas Automotive General Manager Mufit Ataseven said he is not satisfied with Citroen's current position in the Turkish market, noting that he believes Baylas deserves a bigger slice. Stating that the company's market share in Turkey is only about 3%, he said the goal is to raise this figure in the coming years by becoming more competitive. Emphasizing that Citroen is a well-known brand worldwide, Ataseven noted that the brand has considerable potential and that Citroen wants to take advantage of this potential in Turkey. Baylas is one of the major subsidiaries of Bayraktar Holding. Baylas has been the general distributor for Citroen in Turkey since 1995.
