Vodafone to transfer 3G technology to Turkey

Today’s Zaman - Leading global mobile operator Vodafone has pledged that it will bring its expertise and advanced technology in the 3G mobile services sector to Turkey. In a press release, Vodafone Turkey's Executive Board Chairwoman Serpil Timuray said Vodafone will make a difference in the delivery of 3G services in Turkey, "as the GSM operator which pioneered the development of 3G technology across the world and provides 3G services in 15 countries." She said the majority of Vodafone's TRY 1.3 billion projected investment in Turkey for 2009 is currently being spent on the construction of a high-tech 3G network.
