Flyglobespan to begin flights to Mugla

Today’s Zaman - Flyglobespan, a low-cost Scottish airline based in Edinburgh, is planning to initiate flights from Scotland to Dalaman Airport in Mugla province three days a week, a move that is expected to make a significant contribution to the region’s tourism. Starting on April 1st of the next year, the flights are expected to bring an additional 15,000 tourists yearly to Turkey from Scotland, with the countries of the UK which provide the 60% of the tourists visiting the Mugla region. As of the end of August 2008, nearly half of the 2,158,000 tourists to the Mugla region entered the country via Dalaman Airport.
