Japanese pharmaceutical giant Daiichi Sankyo to open branch in Turkey

Today’s Zaman - Japanese leading drug producer Daiichi Sankyo has announced that it is planning to open an office in İstanbul to promote and market its Evista drug, widely used to treat osteoporosis, with other products to be introduced in the Turkish market at a later date. Daiichi Sankyo Europe CEO Reinhard Bauer, who said the penetration into the Turkish market is a very important step in terms of increasing the company's coverage in the global drug business. Entering Turkey is a significant milestone in reaching the target of being one of Europe's leading pharmaceutical companies by 2015, he noted.
