Turkish Finance Minister: Growth to continue

Today’s Zaman - Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek attended the OECD’s Forum on Tax Administration in Istanbul on Wednesday and gave positive predictions for the Turkish economy’s performance in the second half of this year.

Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said he expects Türkiye’s recent strong economic growth to continue, creating employment for millions. The Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) announced on Tuesday that the Turkish economy grew 10.3 percent in the second quarter of 2010, making Türkiye the fastest growing G-20 economy alongside China, and the third in the world after Singapore and Taiwan.
