State Minister: Gulf capital inflow to Turkey on the rise

Zaman - FDI from the Gulf countries to Turkey is expected to rise in 2011. State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said that foreign investors are showing increased interest in Turkey and 2011 will be better in terms of FDI inflow. Speaking to the press on his return from the G-20 meeting in Paris, Babacan said that foreign investors are primarily interested in the energy and automotive sectors followed by the media, real estate and tourism sectors.

“The capital inflow from the Gulf countries has also risen considerably,” said the minister, adding that Turkey is being closely monitored by potential investors around the world.
