Turkey promotes its currency with trade partners

Today’s Zaman - Having recently decided to evaluate the use of the Turkish lira (TRY) in trade with Russia and Iran in a bid to boost its exports to neighboring countries and reduce its reliance on foreign currencies, Turkey now expects to do the same in its commercial dealings with China. The government is currently preparing to start negotiations with the Chinese officials to launch trade in TRY with China, after doing so with Russia and Iran. Should the two parties reach an agreement, the Chinese yuan (RMB) will be used alongside the TRY in trade with China.
