Intellectual property rights authority under way

Today’s Zaman - An intellectual and industrial property rights coordination authority will be established to produce and implement short, medium and long-term strategies to protect intellectual property rights and coordinate between relevant institutions. The decision establishing the authority, signed by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was published in Official Gazette last week and read that economic values were contemporarily defined by intellectual capital more than by physical assets. In other words, property rights, brands, patents and designs have become more valuable than physical goods and have risen in importance on the international level.
