Turkey’s progress in intellectual property rights rewarded

Today's Zaman - Foreign Trade Minister Kursad Tuzmen has stated that the US has removed Turkey from the list of countries that it monitors in connection with deficiencies in the protection of intellectual property rights. Tuzmen cited the US move to remove Turkey from its Special 301 Report, which is published annually by the US Trade Representative (USTR), as a sign of recent positive developments in Turkey's protection of intellectual property. "This decision will boost foreign investment," he told the Anatolia news agency.
