Türkiye awaiting reply after submitting plan to IMF

Today’s Zaman – Mehmet Simsek, Türkiye’s Minister of Economy, said on Monday that Türkiye proposed a comprehensive plan to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), laying out its terms for the next stand-by deal and is now waiting for an answer. Delivering a speech on the Turkish economy at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., the minister said the plan covers the macroeconomic structure and projections of the medium-term budget, as well as structural reforms. He, however, did not disclose the details about the timetable to be followed in the process.
