Austrian firms interested in Istanbul’s transportation-recycling projects

Zaman - Turkey’s emergence from the global economic crisis relatively unscathed has put the country back on the agenda of international investors. Around 30 Austrian companies are currently in Turkey, assessing investment opportunities in the energy, construction, transportation, pharmaceutical and food industries. Austrian firms are also said to be interested in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s transportation and waste recycling projects. A member of the visiting delegation, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, Brigitte Jank, stated that Turkey is an excellent source of supplies, and that Austrian companies intend to reach the Middle Eastern and African markets via Turkey.
