Mercedes-Benz Turk modernizes Istanbul plant, ups capacity


Bugun - German motor vehicle producer Daimler’s bus production plant in Istanbul, Hosdere, has received investments worth EUR 44 million for capacity and efficiency upgrades. Speaking about the new upgrades at the Hosdere plant, Mercedes-Benz Turk’s Directors Council Chairman Wolf-Dieter Kurz said they went full steam ahead with their investments even in a period of global economic crisis and that they have improved the plant with the latest production technologies, making the 15-year-old factory one of Daimler’s most modern production centers.


“We have invested EUR 44 million in the “Hosdere 2010” project as from  2008. Our continuing investments in Türkiye show Daimler’s confidence in the country and the importance of Türkiye in our global bus production network”, said Kurz, adding, “The most recent production plants are the most modern ones. The investment in the Hosdere plant has made us the best and the most modern Mercedes Benz bus production plant.”
