New incentives planned to assist employers and boost economy

Hurriyet English - The Turkish government is planning further incentives against unemployment and the stalling economy, which will be announced within a month, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan told last week. Unakitan said automotive is the most vulnerable sector and new regulations would be made to support this key sector. The government also planned to help trim unemployment and provide incentives encouraging mergers between companies, he said, adding that companies would be provided with “unemployment benefit” so that workers won’t be discharged.
