Invest News DetailDunya - A giant tourism promotion campaign in 80 countries will be launched in January 2009 aiming to attract more visitors and strengthen Türkiye’s position as a global brand, said Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay. Stating that this year has been a good one for Türkiye's tourism, Gunay noted that 23.9 million tourists visited Türkiye over the last 10 months, a 13.5 percent year-on-year increase. This growth was also above world averages, he emphasized. Gunay said tourism revenues reached USD 14.3 billion in the last eight months, a 20.8 percent year-on-year increase, and that total year revenues will exceed USD 20 billion.
