BSH to commission new plant in Türkiye, plans to shift production from China

Milliyet – Household appliances manufacturer Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte (BSH) plans to expand its line of products manufactured in Türkiye. The German company has invested EUR 300 million in Türkiye during this year and is close to completing its new production facility to supplement its existing Cerkezkoy plant in western Türkiye. Türkiye serves as a supply base for BHS’s growing business in the Middle Eastern, North African and Central Asian countries.

The new plant will focus on the production on small home appliances, according to BSH Türkiye Chairman Norbert Klein who said that the company’s Turkish division will take over vacuum cleaner production from the group’s Chinese factory. “We are relocating the production of vacuum cleaners from China to Türkiye.” Klein noted, adding that the new facility will be complete by the first quarter of 2013.

BSH’s current operations in Türkiye include the production of refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines. Europe’s largest white goods producer is also running a 30-country market from its Turkish office.
