AA - Turkish and Brazilian parties signed the 2nd term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the Turkish-Brazilian Joint Economic Committee (JEC) meeting in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday.
Türkiye's State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan and Brazil's Foreign Minister Celso Amorim signed the MoU at Foreign Trade Undersecretariat in Ankara. The MoU includes preparation of a road map for the period between 2010 and 2012.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Caglayan said the meeting will be an important step for improving economic relations between Türkiye and Brazil.
Brazil's Foreign Minister Amorim stressed that Türkiye’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a formal visit to Brazil in May 2010.
Furthermore, Türkiye and Brazil have agreed to co-implement an action plan for strategic partnership, said Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Tuesday.
