Asian News International - India and Turkey will expand cooperation in science and technology, as well as in other areas of common interest. The visit by the Turkish President Abdullah Gul to India heralded a new relationship between the two countries.
The Advanced Science and Technology Dialogue, a recently launched initiative between the two countries, proposes actively studying the possibilities of cooperating in mutually identified projects in areas such as telecommunications, computerization, aeronautics, bio-technology and environmental technologies. The initiative also calls forth a joint workshop in 2010.
The joint statement by the heads of both states expressed that cooperation in science and technology will not only advance the state of science and technology for the benefit of both countries but also strengthen the bonds of friendship and understanding between the people of both countries.
