Vodafone to invest TRY 40 million in Izmir

Haber Turk Egeli, Hurses - Vodafone Türkiye CEO Serpil Timuray said the company will invest an additional TRY 40 million in Izmir for the localization of its services, thus signifying the importance it attaches to Türkiye’s third largest city on the Aegean coast.

Vodafone Türkiye CEO Serpil Timuray said although they have a 25 percent market share in Türkiye as a whole, their share in Izmir is very low. Timuray said they will “become localized” in Izmir in order to increase the number of their customers. Timuray said they had already made a USD 18.5 million investment in Izmir for a data center and will now invest an additional TRY 40 million. “The network infrastructure also requires an investment of TRY 70 million” she added.
