Job opportunities for 10,000 people from Chinese Chery

Ekonomi Pusula – Gokhan Altmisdort, Sales Manager of Chery Turkey, said they are aiming to manufacture 100,000 units per annum in the proposed factory to be constructed in the Karasu district of the northwestern Turkish province of Sakarya and they will create job opportunities for 10,000 people. Altmisdort said Chery took the final decision to invest in Turkey and added that they will most probably construct the factory in Karasu. Altmisdort did not disclose detailed information regarding the investment on the back of its strategic importance and added, “We aim to produce 100,000 units per annum in the proposed factory in Karasu, which corresponds to a ten percent share in Chery’s total production. This also means direct employment for 10,000 people. Taking into consideration the downstream industry, there will be job opportunities for 40,000 people.”
