Türkiye’s exports increase 22 percent in January, hitting USD 9.65 billion

Hurriyet Daily News - Türkiye’s exports rose 22.67 percent in January, compared with the same period last year, said Mehmet Buyukeksi, the Chairman of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM).

“Türkiye increased its January exports to USD 9.65 billion, compared with USD 7.9 billion in the same period of last year,” said Buyukeksi in a meeting in the Black Sea province of Samsun.

The leading sector in January was the automotive sector, reaching USD 1.49 billion, followed by ready-wear and chemicals, with export volumes of USD 1.31 billion and USD 1.21 billion, respectively.
