President Gul: Turkey and Jordan to sign free trade agreement

AA - Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that Turkey and Jordan are set to sign a free trade agreement during his visit to Amman. "With the free trade agreement between Turkey and Jordan, we will have the opportunity to utilize the economic and commercial potential between the two countries", Gul told reporters prior to his departure for Jordan. Gul said he will discuss with King Abdullah II all aspects of bilateral relations and regional issues during his visit, adding that Turkey has been making efforts in relation to security, sustainable development and prosperity in the region by cooperating with its neighbors, as well as with regional organizations. Gul is the first Turkish president to visit Jordan in nine years.
