Chinese automobile giant to build a mill in Turkey

Gunes – Chinese automotive group Chery has hastened its search for land acquisition in order to build a car manufacturing plant in Turkey. James Guo, Chery’s Vice President of Western Europe & Ukraine, and Michael Zhou, Chery’s Sales Director of Western Europe, have recently arrived in Turkey. Chinese automotive brand Chery, which is represented by Mermerler Grubu in Turkey since late 2006, has carried out certain land examinations in Karasu district in Sakarya province of Turkey. Once the problems concerning land are solved, the group will commence the construction works for the USD 1 billion plant.
