Benteler commissions new plant in Türkiye

Dünya - German automotive, steel and distribution company Benteler International has officially commissioned its new plant in Türkiye’s northwestern province of Kocaeli.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hubertus Benteler, the CEO of Benteler AG, said they expect their investment in Türkiye to become a success story. “Türkiye has a well-trained and motivated labor pool. As of July 1, personnel in Gebze plant will consist only of Turkish national,” he noted. Benteler’s Turkish facility will supply locally-manufacturing brands like Ford and Renault with parts and components.

Also present at the ceremony, the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT) President, Ilker Ayci said that 17 of the world’s top 20 auto spare part suppliers have manufacturing operations in Türkiye and that Benteler’s investment in Türkiye is of great significance in that regard.

One of the largest automotive suppliers, Benteler is among Germany's largest 100 industrial companies, employing 24,000 people worldwide.
