Turkish and Spanish companies seal energy agreement

AA - Türkiye's Saran Holding and Spain's Fersa signed on Friday a partnership agreement worth USD 1 billion for investment in Türkiye’s renewable energy resources. The agreement was signed at a ceremony in the Turkish capital province of Ankara, with the participation of Zafer Caglayan, the Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade; Taner Yildiz, Turkish Minister of Energy and Joan Klos, Spanish Ambassador to Ankara. The agreement includes the construction of hydroelectric power plants in the eastern Anatolian provinces of Tunceli and Erzurum, and in the southern Anatolian province of Antalya. The projects are expected to employ some 1,500 people.
