Carrefour Turkish unit to invest $159 million

Bloomberg - Carrefour SA's Turkish unit plans to invest 100 million euros ($159 million) in Türkiye this year, Hurriyet newspaper said. Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS aims to open about 27 outlets this year, the newspaper said citing Guillaume Vicaire, chief executive of Carrefour Sabanci. The retailer has a market share of 13.6 percent, making it the second-biggest supermarket chain in Türkiye after Migros Turk TAS, Vicaire said, according to Hurriyet.
