Invest News DetailHurriyet Daily News - Türkiye's national public broadcaster has sealed a partnership deal with Euronews by acquiring a 15.7 percent stake in the company. Through this deal, the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) has become the fourth largest shareholder in Euronews. Other shareholders of the company include France Télévisions, Italy's RAI and Russia's RTR. France Télévisions owns 25.37 percent of the company, while RAI holds 22.84 percent and RTR 16.94 percent. Eventually Turkish Euronews will broadcast through 34 satellites. The service will also be utilized by millions of Turkish-speaking people living abroad, in Northern Cyprus, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Europe, in particular Germany. Euronews, a multilingual and pan-European television news channel launched in Lyon on January 1, 1993 already broadcasts in eight languages, namely English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Arabic.
