Future looks bright for Turkey’s automotive production

Turk.net - Zafer Caglayan, the Turkish State Minister, said Turkey could be an automotive production base, while Germany, situated in the middle of Europe, could be a logistic distribution base. "When Turkey and Germany join forces, we can become a bigger exporter", Caglayan said during a meeting on the fringes of the 63rd International Automotive Fair held in Frankfurt. Turkey earned some USD 2.8 billion from automotive exports to Germany, and imported automotive products worth USD 4.2 billion from Germany in 2008.
