Invest News DetailTurk Net Haber - Italian group Cementerie Aldo Barbetti of Gubbio is expanding its business in Türkiye. The company has signed a joint venture agreement in the cement sector with Sanko Holding, one of the main industrial groups of the country, creating the Cimko group, which has a modern cement factory and some concrete plants in southeastern Türkiye. Now the joint venture is about to launch the production in the largest single furnace factory in the country (Kahramanmaras, with a capacity of 8,000 tonnes of clinker per day), reaching a combined annual capacity of over 4 million tonnes of cement and a domestic market share of 8%. Annual turnover in full capacity is expected to be around USD 300 million. Cementerie Aldo Barbetti is an industrial group which has been working for 50 years in the sector of cement, concrete and related services, with a turnover of over 170 million euro in 2006. The Sanko group, world leader in the textile sector with yarn production, generated a turnover of more than $1.5 billion in 2006 and employs some 14,000 people in more than ten sectors of activity.
