Türkiye to approve lottery sale this week

Bloomberg - Türkiye's parliament may this week approve legislation to allow the sale of the national lottery. The legislation will allow the sale of a 10 year license to run Ankara-based Milli Piyango. The law will allow the company running the lottery to keep 17% of revenue. Koc Holding AS, Türkiye's biggest company, may bid for the license in partnership with Greece's Opap SA. Camelot Group Plc, which holds the concession to run the UK's national lottery, Scientific Games Corp. and Greece's Intralot SA, which is already a partner in a Turkish sports betting network, may also bid. Other possible bidders include Essnet AB, Tatts Group Ltd., GTECH Holdings Corp., Lottomatica SpA, Austrian Lotteries and Sisal SpA.
