International capital considers Türkiye a safe haven

Anatolia News Agency – The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the international capital considered Türkiye a “safe haven”. Speaking at a news program aired by the private TV channel Show TV, Erdogan said, "GDP, which was USD 230 billion in 2002, increased to USD 750 billion in 2008. National income per capita rose to USD 10 thousand in 2008 from USD 3,311 in 2002 while inflation rate dropped to 7.7 percent from 30 percent during the past five years. We also succeeded in increasing exports to USD 132 billion from USD 36 billion in the same period while our debt to the International Monetary Fund reduced to USD 7.8 billion from USD 23.5 billion."
