Hürriyet – Ireland-based San Leon Energy steps into the Turkish market with the acquisition of the majority stakes of local energy company, Alpay Enerji.
San Leon will focus on shale exploration as well as natural gas and oil in Türkiye, using the existing licenses of Alpay Enerji. The Irish company will be investing USD 55 million in its Türkiye operations.
San Leon will own 75 percent of the Turkish company according to the deal. Alpay Enerji has oil and gas licenses for fields in Türkiye’s Hatay, Adana and Konya provinces.
