Korkmaz has also declared that Türkiye may well become a very significant actor in the software market of Europe. Pointing out that the direct investment attracted by Türkiye in the last five years has amounted to $60 billion, Korkmaz has specified that they robustly support the promotion campaigns conducted by Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft and Nortel Networks for the purpose of generating awareness. Korkmaz has also called attention to the fact that the second largest Microsoft operations in the world, following Seattle, are carried out in Türkiye, and that Microsoft is managing 80 different countries from Türkiye.
