Türkiye’s chemicals export rises to $7.3 bln

Turkish Daily News - Surpassing more than half of this year's export expectations within the first six months of the year, Türkiye's chemicals sector raised its ranking to third place among all other sectors in terms of export volume. The exports of the sector, which were $4.8 billion in the first half of 2007, increased 51.6% to reach $7.3 billion within the first six months of this year. In the beginning of the year, the chemical sector had targeted $12 billion export income for the year. The sector implemented exports worth $1.34 billion in June this year, a 49% increase compared to the same period last year.
