Sabah - South Korean car maker Hyundai’s decision to produce the new hatchback i20 in Türkiye may lead to new investments in its Izmit plant, according to Hyundai Assan Board Chairman, Ali Kibar, who stated, “i20 production will exceed 100,000 units per year.” While the current maximum capacity of Hyundai’s Izmit plant is 125,000 units, additional investments may up the capacity, should there be an increase in the European demand for the i20, said Kibar.
