Spain's Molecor Inaugurates New Pipe Manufacturing Facility in Türkiye

Spanish pipe manufacturer Molecor officially inaugurated its new production facility in Alaşehir, Manisa, with the support of the Investment and Finance Office. Established with an initial investment of approximately EUR 25 million, the facility will manufacture advanced oriented polyvinyl chloride (O-PVC) pipes for drinking water supply and infrastructure systems.

The 12,500-square-meter facility currently employs 44 people, with plans to expand both its workforce and production capacity in the coming years. The investment is expected to strengthen domestic manufacturing, facilitate technology transfer, reduce import dependency, and create new export opportunities.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Investment and Finance Office President A. Burak Dağlıoğlu highlighted the investment's contribution to Türkiye's industrial development, employment, and current account balance. He emphasized the importance of domestic production of advanced infrastructure components, particularly as Türkiye continues to invest in modern and resilient infrastructure.

Dağlıoğlu also underscored the strong economic ties between Türkiye and Spain, noting that Spanish investment stock in Türkiye exceeds USD 15 billion, while bilateral trade has surpassed USD 20 billion. He added that approximately 785 companies with Spanish capital operate in Türkiye, collectively employing more than 50,000 people and generating approximately USD 2.4 billion in exports from Türkiye as of 2025.

Molecor Co-founder and CEO Ignacio Muñoz de Juan reaffirmed the company's commitment to developing innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that improve quality of life. He noted that the new facility would further strengthen economic and business ties between Türkiye and Spain.

Molecor Vice Chairman Ahmet Attaroğlu outlined the company's plans to increase production capacity and employment as operations expand, including potential investments in additional manufacturing facilities. Meanwhile, Molecor Türkiye CEO Fuat Attaroğlu emphasized the role of O-PVC technology in helping municipalities manage water, energy, and other resources more efficiently.

The inauguration ceremony brought together government officials, industry representatives, and business leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the production facility.
