Hurriyet Daily News – Having gained momentum with the recent sale of electricity distribution companies, as well as six sugar producing companies, privatizations in Türkiye are expected to continue in 2010. The government held an auction on November 6 for the privatizations of three power grids, namely Coruh, Osmangazi and Yesilirmak. The privatizations of six sugar factories that were part of group C were realized on December 9. Final offers for the privatizations of the remaining four power grids, 52 hydroelectric power plants and the sugar factories listed in group B will be received in January.
