Tesco planning Turkish exports worth TRY 300 million

Hurriyet - British company Tesco, the owner of a supermarket chain in Türkiye under the name of “Kipa”, has announced its plans to export “Made in Türkiye” goods worth TRY 300 million (GBP 120 million). The announcement came after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan’s visits to the United Kingdom. The move coincides with Minister Caglayan’s remarks during his visit to London that Tesco is well aware of Türkiye’s trade potential. Tesco hopes to increase the amount of its export of Turkish goods, primarily consisting of TV sets and glassware products. The British supermarket chain has more than ten stores in Türkiye.
