AA - Türkiye’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this week that the foreign trade volume between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached USD 8.6 billion as of 2008. Nearly USD 7.5 billion of this figure comes from Türkiye's exports, said Erdogan during his talks in the UAE.
Erdogan said Turkish contractors have an important amount of investment in the UAE, adding that there will be very serious amounts of investments in this country in the future. Erdogan expressed pleasure over the confidence of the UAE in Türkiye.
He said the UAE wants to make joint initiatives with Türkiye in agriculture, industry and energy areas. Erdogan added that delegations from the UAE will visit Türkiye next week about this issue.
