“Türkiye attracted USD 75 billion of FDI in the last 6 years”

Ekonomist - During his speech at the Adana Chamber of Industry (ADASO) Professional Committees Joint Meeting, Türkiye’s Minister of State Zafer Caglayan said Türkiye attracted foreign capital worth more than USD 75 billion between 2003 and 2009. Caglayan emphasized that Türkiye has also become successful in terms of foreign capital with its political and economic stability.

“The FDI inflow in 2003-2009 vastly exceeds the previous 30 years. While the total amount of FDI stood at USD 15 billion for the 1973-2002 period, the years between 2003-2009 saw the FDI to Türkiye rocket to USD 75 billion, nearly matching the previous 30-year period’s performance in a single year”, said Caglayan.
