AA - “Türkiye could be among the top three producers of wind energy”, according to Christian Kjaer, CEO of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). Commenting on the country’s potential regarding energy production from wind, Kjaer said Türkiye’s ranking among wind energy producers in Europe had recently increased, with the country securing the 13th place and leaving Poland behind.
Kjaer highlighted the availability of land plots for wind farms and drew attention to Türkiye’s growing energy need, which is expected to be met in part by wind energy. “Türkiye has a predictable and attractive market for wind energy investors”, said Kjaer, adding that the country has the potential to become one of the biggest players in the wind energy sector.
