WSJ: Türkiye is Eurasia’s rising tiger

Yeni Safak - The record growth rate attained by the Turkish economy in the first quarter made headlines in the world’s leading economy and finance publications. US-based daily The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) likened Türkiye to a rising tiger, citing the country’s 11 percent GDP growth that surpassed China’s.

“Thursday's official growth figure, compared with the year-earlier period, easily beat market expectations, at a time when many of Türkiye's neighbors in the Middle East and Europe struggle with political turmoil and bailouts,” said the newspaper, stating that Türkiye’s growing economy stood in contrast in comparison with most of its neighbors in the EU.
