BSH thrives in Türkiye, plans to invest more in production

Radikal - White goods producer BSH plans to invest a further EUR 300 million in its already significant production facilities in Türkiye, according to Jean Dufour, Board Member in charge of sales and marketing for the German company. Dufour, speaking at the IFA consumer electronics and home appliances trade show held in Berlin, noted that the company’s investments in Türkiye will reach EUR 1 billion over the next four years.

“Türkiye has the third largest market for BSH; planned investments for our production plant in the country will reach EUR 300 million,” he said. The investment plans include the relocation of a small home appliances production line from China to Türkiye and the establishment of an R&D center to focus on energy-saving technologies.

BSH’s first-half growth in Türkiye reached 43 percent on the back of the undervalued national currency, also raising year-end growth expectations. BSH Group’s Cerkezkoy plant in western Türkiye serves as a supply base for the company’s growing business in the Middle Eastern, North African and Central Asian countries.
