Invest News DetailSabah - Türkiye has enormous potential with its openness to innovation and rapid adaption of latest technologies, according to Microsoft Chief Operations Officer, Kevin Turner. Visiting Türkiye as a part of his four country trip to Europe following the opening of the CeBIT tech show in Germany, Turner met with Microsoft’s key partners and executives in Istanbul to promote Microsoft’s cloud-based products and services. “Türkiye’s potential as one of the fastest growing economies is well-recognized around the world. Microsoft Türkiye is doing a good job in assisting Türkiye’s growth on corporate, SME and end-user levels,” said Turner, describing Türkiye’s growth as ‘exciting’. Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa office in Istanbul is the software company’s center for operations in 79 countries. Türkiye has been a stopover for the heads of the tech industry’s leading firms like Google and Blackberry in recent months. The country initiated a national education project, Fatih that envisions equipping classrooms and students with high-tech instruments. The USD 7 billion project involves the local production of tablet PCs and electronic white boards.
