Italy keen to spread investments throughout Türkiye

Haber Turk – The Italian Ambassador to Ankara, Carlo Marsili, has said Italy wants to expand its investments in Türkiye, currently concentrated in western regions, throughout the country. Marsili told reporters in Adana that economic relations between the two countries gradually improved, noting that the number of Italian companies operating in Türkiye has reached 700. He highlighted the fact that Italian direct investments in Türkiye amounted to USD 5 billion, while the bilateral trade volume between the two countries exceeded USD 19 billion. Marsili said the Italian companies in Türkiye mostly operated in the industrial, cement, banking and SME sectors. Marsili added that they want to spread Italian investments in the western region to other parts of Türkiye, noting they are making assessments on cities like Adana, Gaziantep, Konya and Kayseri.
